This 3D reel shows 7 3D photos of the former power plant Harculo, near the city of Zwolle in The Netherlands. The power plant has since disappeared, but was captured in 3D by Ronald Schalekamp. Now, the once so defining building can still be seen after its demolition.
The plant used coal when it was commissioned in 1955, from 1972 it switched to oil fuel and eventually switched to natural gas. The power plant was used from 1955 up to 2016. However in the final years of use commercially the power plant was of nearly no value.
The demolition of the power plant started in 2016. There were quite some protests against the demolition of the cultural heritage. The characteristic chimney pipes have been a landmark for their surroundings for many decades.
